SUPER 8?
In 1980, Matthew Bearne's Grandad handed him a battered Super 8 camera. They were Devon's answer to Laurel and Hardy.
The footage was shaky. But that wasn't the point.
The point was the belly laughs and the pure joy of making something together.
That ten-year-old trained at Bristol Old Vic, became an EastEnders regular, and now directs for Netflix, Disney and Sky.
In 2012 he set up the Super 8 Acting Academy, where his Grandad's living room spirit still applies.
The work is serious. The training is professional.
But the belly laughs and the joy of making something together?
That's the basis of everything we do.
